Robb's 125th Street Grill, Site of the Christmas Lunch
very year in mid-December,
large number of Mature Friends get together in true holiday fashion for
a Christmas lunch. Held in Seattle on a Saturday preceding Christmas,
Mature Friends gather in a private dining room at Robb's 125th Street
Bar and Grill. This festive occasion kicks off with a rousing cocktail
hour (or two).
We know what you're thinking: Christmastime gay get-togethers mean an
obligatory white-elephant gift exchange. Boring! But not so any more!
Our members have voted to replace the usual white-elephant gift
exchange with donations of new, unwrapped toys to give to Toys for
Tots. It's a great way to celebrate the holiday season while also
making local, disadvantaged children the recipients of a gift for

But it's not all about giving. To further tempt members to participate,
the lunch is also about receiving, in the form of door prizes! But even
if the chance to make a kid happy doesn't tempt you nor the chance to
make yourself happy with a fine door prize, then the camaraderie, great
cocktails, and Robb's fine menu should definitely do the trick.
Every year, we get together on a Saturday afternoon, midway through
December, and have a great time. If you don't believe me, check out the
photos for yourself. Better yet, sign up for the previous Christmas
lunch. Not a member of Mature Friends? Don't worry, you can always join
at any time during the year and then sign up for this heart-warming,
stomach warming event. Merry Christmas in advance!
